It’s officially the first day of Spring today! Congratulations, you’ve made it through the long cold winter and emerged into the wonderful season of tulips, fresh green grass, baby bunnies…and everything maple!
If you’re anything like us, then you’ve learned to equate March with Maple, and eagerly anticipate all of the deliciousness that comes along with that at the end of this month.
Maple In The County is a celebration of all things maple in Prince Edward County, and this year’s lineup is looking particularly delicious and filled with fun activities the whole family can enjoy. Activities to enjoy include pancake breakfasts, maple smores over cozy fires, petting zoos with newborn chicks and lambs, and of course the much-loved maple taffy on snow, along with many more delights!
Maple in the county is not just for the kids either! Join us on a guided tour through the County and experience some of the County’s best wineries, sugar-bushes, a maple themed brunch, and a little maple history along the way.
If you’ve never been to Maple In The County, come hungry and come happy, but for the love of all things maple make sure you just come! This is one PEC festivity that’s simply too joyous to miss. Because nothing says spring like a bunch of people coming together to celebrate the sweet sweet taste of good old local maple syrup.
Pro Tip for all you gluten-free maple lovers out there, Jubilee Forest Farm will be offering a gluten-free pancake breakfast made with organic buckwheat they grow and mill right in PEC!
